Installation notes

• Disconnect the battery negative before unplugging any suspension connector. Do not pull the connector by the wires.
• Support the lower control arm before removing the strut. The coil spring is pre-loaded, but the arm will drop fast once the strut is out.
• Torque the upper mount nuts and the lower clevis bolts with the vehicle at ride height, not hanging. This is the single most common cause of a "new strut, still clunks" complaint.
• Clear the suspension module codes after installation and run a short road test through Comfort and Sport so the module relearns the damper.
• If a code remains, check the harness at the strut tower — the pigtail is often corroded inside the boot even when the outside looks fine.
